I realized that I am a lousy owner.
All along, I thought he was borne in the year 1999.
After flipping through his past records yesterday, I then found out that he was actually borne in 1997 & he is now 11years old not 9 years old. Im such a lousy owner man. *Slap myself!*

Anyway, as mentioned earlier. I brought my dog to a vet called Dr Lye.
True enough, he's an experience and alittle 'strict cum fierce' vet. But what he says are all for my boy own good.
He got my boy x-rayed and the results showed that one of his forelegs is already dislocated and both hind legs' kneecaps are already out of place. His situation can consider as a serious one. If his injuries were found and cure earlier, it’ll be a no-risk case.
I went pale after hearing this. At the same time, I’m cursing the previous vet whom we've been bringing my boy to, for all checkups since he's a baby. Few years ago, we were told that my boy is suffering from 'feng shi'. So there's no need surgery or anything. He too din tell us that his leg was actually dislocated!

Haiz.. No point pursuing the matter now..
Anyway, the surgery fee for his legs will cost about $2k++ for each leg & there's no guaranteed that his legs will be 100% cured.
He advised us to go back and think about it.

Like what he say, my boy is already 11years old..
If we chose to continue with the surgery, we must prepare that his healing duration will be longer and he might feel weak for that period and as mentioned, its not 100% guaranteed fully recover.

My mum, dad and I discussed and made a final decision.
We chose to forbid the surgery.
Firstly, the operation fee wasnt cheap and it was not a guaranteed cure. If its guaranteed & my boy can run or jump or even walk better after the surgeries, it'll be another decision.
Secondly, (now) his appetite is normal, he barks at my dad & bro as usual (becos he hates them), he shakes his tail as usual, he shits everyday, urines everyday, etc. But what if the surgery failed & he looked even weaker as before or dont even have the energy to walk?
I guessed, we were regret even further.
He's already 11 years old, we just hope that he's able to lead peacefully, no more extra pain, etc; from now till his last day.
(Like we human, Enjoy our life to the fullest till our last day in this world! Am I right? )

So what we can do now, to at least improve his health; we need to change his diet (he's overweight too), give him herbs (from Dr Lye) for his sensitive skin as well as apply medical solutions to his eyes (already becoming alittle greyish) & the ears.

A week later or so, we need to bring him over for another check up again.

His food supplement, eye&ear drops, herbs for his body & joints, shampoo, moisture lotion for his dry skin together with x-rays & 2 jabs for his joint & body; cost us $740.
Expensive fee but hopefully, these able to at least lighten his suffers in these areas.
